Discord is a space for informal chats. The invite link to it will have been emailed to you. If you do not have it, and have checked your junk/spam, let us know at UKAceCon2022@gmail.com and we'll get it to you.
To learn how to use Discord, see the video below (this video was created for last year's conference, but should still be applicable for this conference).
Slido is a Question and Answer (Q&A) system. You can ask questions, which the panel host then sees.
You can access Slido and can submit questions ahead of the conference as well as during it.
To learn how to work Slido, check out the video below (this video was created for last year's conference, but should still be applicable for this conference)
We recommend using a laptop or desktop for YouTube and Discord for the smoothest experience. For Slido, any device can be used such as a laptop, desktop, mobile, or tablet, among others.
What to do if you have problems on the day
If there are problems, first try refreshing the page to see if this fixes it. If not, check your internet connection is stable. If you are still having trouble, try another browser, for example Chrome or Firefox.
If all that fails, please get in contact with us at UKAceCon2022@gmail.com and we'll try to help fix any problems. We cannot guarantee that we will be able to fix everything, but we will try our best.
Finding our Streams
Find our streams on YouTube and check the video description of one to find links to navigate around the conference.
The YouTube sessions will be recorded for viewing later, so don't worry about missing them.
You may use any name you want across all platforms for this conference, but please do not use an offensive name or one that impersonates someone else.
For hosts and moderators
You will be sent a separate set of instructions in email and be given separate training relevant to your role.
